Something i was told by an archer who later went on to win the competition we were shooting in; never shake your head at a bad shot, nod it instead. It's surprisingly difficult to nod your head and feel negative, i've found, I keep trying to shake my head but i now try to turn those shakes into a nod, and it does make a difference, believe it or not!

I think every club has a 'fiend' (or two or three)

I found it difficult to accept that my arrows were going to hit the 10 ring on a regular basis - until I managed to get my brain to accept that I had improved, I often fluffed the last couple of dozen arrows!!
