| No frames to obscure vision. Do you shoot with both eyes open? No fogging up. My eyes were running freely with the wind on monday. The view through the spotting scope was a watery/cloudy one with so much moisture in the eye. |

| I use contact lenses and find no problems. One of the guys on the beginners course with me tried both and preferred to shoot with glasses. |

| I prefer shooting with contact lenses, though fields where the grass has just been cut or very windy days can be tricky for me. Dependent on whether you've been looking through the centre of your lens, or towards the edge, you might find that your windage might change somewhat. |

| I found it almost impossible for me to shoot with glasses, I can't turn my head far enough towards the target. I moved over to contacts about 5 years ago and I have no problems with them. I use monthly disposable contacts and wear them most of the day, just taking them out at night. |

| Not sure if this is cheating, but shooting in glasses gives me an extra reference point. If I move my head at all, i can't quite get the sight line to clear my frames. Lets me know when I am doing something wrong. Sponge. |

Now would it be cheating if I put a mark on my glasses lense to show where I should line up to? I guess so. |

| lol at the 'cheating' aspect of wearing glasses! I have always worn glasses, and will be starting my course on saturday so this will be in glasses. However... I am in the transition to Gas Permeable Lenses (due to a severe astigmatism and being VERY short sighted I can't have soft lenses So it'll be interesting to see (excuse the pun) if there is a difference... ![]()

I used contacts for a while - daily disposables proved quite cost effective, as I only needed them for one eye (the other has normal vision). But I had issues with eye irritation and lens position. I've found that suncream can 'migrate' to my eyes over the course of a day's shooting, wearing contacts seemed to exacerbate the problem. I've been using a shooting lens the last few years. It puts the middle of the lens exactly where I want it, no distortion or peering around the edges of frames... |
