| Having an almost profesional distractor in the club, I've had to learn to not get affected by things other people do. Mostly, I find myself distracted by odd things at the other end of the field / hall. Example: At The Wakefield Archers Portsmouth back in January, I noticed a fire door next to the bosses. As I was drawing, I thought: "Oh look, a fire door... hmm, I wonder what would happen if someone walk in through it [seriously. My thoughts]..." *shoot* Right in the blue. *Really* should have come down for that one. I knew before I released it'd be bad, but muppet that I am, continued regardless. |

| what distracts you when shooting hi guy's, constant chatter from those who can not help themselves. even with gentle nudges from me to ''concentrate and focus'' might get them better scores!!! it really does annoy me fine chatter away to your hearts content but not while you shoot!!![]()

| loud club members are definately a distraction which is why i tend to not try and do a scoring round on club days, there's just too much going on in the background. there's a back road entrance into the park where we shoot and it's in your line of sight while at full draw. I did find myself one day being at anchor when a car came past and it wasn't just my eyes that followed it, my whole head moved Talk about lack of concentration...

| We shoot in the playing field of a school attached to a leisure centre & right next to the shooting line are the all weather pitches. It always seems to coincide with Five aside ******** on Sunday morning, why do they always scream coaching advice at each other punctuated by obscenities. Not only is it off putting I am sure the parents of some of the younger juniors must think twice about their kids attending. |

| I found with my first officially scored round last week that people talking behind me distract me, not when I am practicing though? if I know someone is watching me, I find myself thinking about my Form and I cant shoot straight. Our Field runs next to a busy road that is a bit of an overtaking spot but cars dont seem to bother me except when they peep their horns ![]()

| I try not to let anything distract me. In fact I welcome noise, disturbances, distractions, loud chatter, whatever, as a means of training myself to concentrate. Always practice for the worst case and then everything else becomes so much easier. |

| i dont get distracted too easily, but once i was distracted when the Red Arrows did a low level flyover of our field in diamond 9 formation!!! I wasnt just distracted by the noise... Chris

| The biggest distraction I get are people who supply a running commentary on every arrow they shoot, closely followed by noisy people in general !
