Archery Shop nr Newport Shropshire?

Hello

We are going up to Lilleshall this weekend for a performance course - can anyone tell us if there is an archery shop nearby so we can visit?

Thanks
Lorraine

Hi Lorraine

Cannot help with archery shops in the Newport area, but I along with a colleague from our club are also going to Lillisall this weekend. See you there.

Chris.

Yes, there is BowPlus at Whitchurch - it's advertised in Archery UK if you've got a copy.

It's on the A41 - same road as Lilleshall, but a good half hour away.

It's well stocked, staff are knowledgable, friendly and helpful too.

IMHO it's a better outfit than Bowsports, which is close to Wolverhampton and therefore not that far away from Lilleshall either.

Thanks for pointing out BowPlus, I'd not found that one before. I'll have to visit it next time I'm at Lilleshall.

As far as Bowsports is concerned, it's about a 30min drive from Lilleshall. Check their website for location and opening times etc.

Aha! Your cover is blown Chris Enjoy the session. However, you won't get much time to visit archery shops if that is what you have in mind. Breakfast from 7.30am, practice available from around 6.30am and only just enough time for lunch and tea (1 hour in total, which includes waiting in the queue behind 200 other sporting hopefulls of all types), before finishing at 9pm.

The session usually ends around 3.30 - 4pm on the Sunday. I guess that you could all call in on your way there on Friday, but better to wait until after the course - you will learn a lot.
