RE: Last night's Brainiac

It took 4 shots to get the apple, then I had to do it again another 4 times until they got the shot they wanted. I hit the apple 5 out of 8 shots. The first shot was the one that "killed" the dummy. The sights on a medieaval crossbow leave a lot to be desired.
The longbow and crossbow shots were at about 20yds, the recurve was 20 yds to the axes, so about 30 to the target.
It is repeated on Sky Mix tonight and again on Sky1 on Saturday.
I haven't seen it myself yet, so I don't know what it looks like. (I don't normally have the silly beard but had to grow it for a part in another episode of the show that was filmed at the same time)

Daniel

RE: Last night's Brainiac

If you do put it on the website, be aware that I had nothing to do with the script.....

I would never refer to "firing" a bow!

I wouldn't call myself "Britain's top archer" either. I'm nowhere near that good

I do have the episode on VHS and will try to get it digitised, but don't hold your breath.

Daniel

RE: Last night's Brainiac

I see Daniels turning into a bit of a TV star !!!

Unless i'm very much mistaken, that was our very own english bowmen dressed as wild bill hickock on tonights Brainiac. Should have pushed for the dirty harry to fire the .357 magnum though !!!
