RE: ebay items

Welcome to the forum MJ </p>

I think the first item would make a great trophy - although someone's bound to stab themselves with it - and possibly win another trophy (Gold Flinger's Fonz Award ).</p>

The second item - I like the phrase 'modern antique' Isn't that what they call an oxymoron?</p>

Dave</p>

RE: ebay items

I like the first one, too !!!!The postage on the third one seems a little excessive !!! £85.00 plus £5.00 insurance, what are they delivering it by ? Space shuttle ?Seriously, they'd all look nice in my living room but the kids are all into LOTR and the eldest (9) tends to believe that he's Legolas, so it might not be such a good idea :-(

RE: ebay items

be funny if they did deliver by shuttle </p>

There were a couple of hobb... err... children#who used to come to our club who wanted to be Legolas. So they got their leather back quivers and then... well, we found out why hobbits aren't very good archers - they can't reach the arrows in the quiver. It was fun watching them try though#</p>

RE: ebay items

Do you mean the twinger gins Dave? It wasn't very funny when I got stabbed in the eye with an Easton Jazz whilst one of them was trying to get his arrows in his quiver. Not a good idea!

Hehe, yes I do We should have made them go without shoes and stuck wigs on their feet - they really were a pair of hobbits, even down to the haircuts <strike>and love of real ale</strike>#</p>
