RE: Exercise & Fitness

The only exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, side-stepping responsibility, and pushing their luck!

;-)

Kev

RE: Exercise & Fitness

Thanks for the Archery Fitness doc AA, dont you just love that it keeps saying "Use a length of spear gun rubber" like its something you'd have lying around the house!!

Top stretches though, thanks.

Yeah, I tried to get some on ebay, no such luck !!!! Keep meaning to buy one of those exercise bands, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Has anybody got any experience of the bands which Alternative Sporting Services sell pretty cheaply?? Hey I just realised, the acronym for them is ASS, which seems to be what the guy on the phone is, pretty fitting really, LOL

If you mean Therabands, the ones coloured for different resistances, I have some and they work well. My physio had me using them when I hurt my back and they really helped.

RE: Exercise & Fitness

You can also use those Therabands to increase weight on your bow, if you don't want to fork out for heavier limbs to train with.

RE: Exercise & Fitness

Save money and just do reversals with your current bow. If you can do 300 a day on#both sides then very soon your bow will feel like an elastic band to use! You can start to#do 60 reversals for a warmup, then another 40 at tea break then another 60 as a warm down. Add this to a modest#500 arrows a week and you well away.

RE: Exercise & Fitness

Just got this new thing through my physio, I'm lucky to be borrowing hers as I can only use the green one at the moment. It saves on needing a multigym, and as you have to 'balance the bar' during all your exercises, it means both sides of your body are worked the same way
