For those club administrators out there....

how much paperwork do you do in a week?

I'm currently updating our clubs safety guidlines, and by the looks of things I'm going to have around 8-12 hours of paperwork to do per week, as part of our insurance.

Does anyone else find this problem?

Usually about three hours per week including handling e-mails, but that rises very sharply when we have subscription renewals coming up or are about to start a beginners course. It can easily rise to about 10 hours per week for a few weeks.

Insurance? Nothing.
Mainly it's handling emails from those wanting to learn the sport.
But as TJ says, it gets busy when the renewals are due and the beginner's courses kick in.

Club paperwork? As a Secretary, very little, except at renewals (see above). As Records Officer, also very little as my club members seem not to be shooting scored rounds these days. As Tournament Organiser, lots in short bursts. As me, none.
But don't let on, as the other Furfaces think I'm doing this full time.

so are any of you required to keep club logbooks of all shooting at your clubs? or details of who is present at sessions?

Current club, yes. You leave a book and people write their name in it.

We have a signing in book - also use it to record the scores for the postals.

Hi - don't find this too bad really - perhaps couple of hours a week including replying to emails etc etc. Ssshhh - I tell them I spend ages on the computer (really I'm on AIUK doing "research"
