| You're more than welcome Steve - though it isn't a question of checking it out - it's the only gauge I have as almost nobody else at my present club records anything, so without the handicap system I'd be doing little more than playing cowboys and injuns!

| Hi Tel. IMHO it is a bit of a shame when people aren't interested in handicaps and classification . I think in any sport - even purely for pleasure - you want some measure of progress. I try to encourage all our beginners to keep a close eye on this and I try very hard to award classifications promptly and publicly. I'm lucky at our club - there's some very experienced archers who encourage the others to shoot rounds and track scores. Its certainly my experience that the ones who don't have an interest in a "measure" quickly lose interest in the sport as a whole. By the way we've got a really good records officer too (in case he's reading this!!) but I'm organising a handicap shoot and I wanted to make sure I'd got the basics right. S
