To explain the main differences in use would take a considerable amount of space and, I'm pretty sure, has been gone over time and again on this forum. Suggest you do a search to find the answer to that part of your question. Adam |

| Compounds and recurves can shoot together at competitions but when the scores are collected, there are sections for recurves and separate ones for compounds. So it could be possible for the recurves to win medals etc and the compounds too. As to the main differences, compounds draw to a length that is set, though it may be adjusted at some time. Recurves can be drawn to any length within reason. The other main difference is that the draw weight on a compound builds very quickly then gets lighter towards the end of the draw. |
