Aside from the sniggers, there's a couple of snippets of useful advice.

If you wear a chestguard, despit what you wear under it and however few or many layers of clothing. It is always a consistant surface for string contact. One less variable to worry about.

I've changed my stance as well now and thank God I have saved myself from further injury! LOL!

But thanks for the info.

If you'd ever been to an archery tournament in a naturist club, you'd know better than to ask such a question!

How did I miss this thread in its early stages??? All this talk of breasts and nipples and bras - its almost indecent!!

Besides, (as a man) how large would one's nipples have to be to twang them with your bow string?

I've never used a chest guard, and have never come close to anything catching, or twanging on my clothes or my body (thankfully!)

Can there *really* be that much difference in surfaces to shoot off, from one t-shirt to another?

Not very. Been there, done that, applied the burn cream...

Yes. It's not solely the material, it's the fit as well. A garment doesn't have to catch noticeably (to you) to affect the arrow flight. A little pluck at the fabric as the shaft leaves can open up groups, and it's doubtful you'd notice the cause. I consider a chest guard to be one of the items of kit on the 'essential' list. Take a look for pictures of top archers not wearing chest guards. If you have the time . It'll be a long search...

Unhappy Woman alright but Men Wrong

Seems to be in our Club it's OK for Ladies to wear Chest guards but if a man dare to wear one O he's a great big girl. a Softy etc

Anyone else come across this View of it's OK for Ladies but not for us Big Tough Men?
