| Hi Tracy I bet you don't realise it, but you are competing all the time - against yourself. The vast majority of archers simply want to beat their last best score - so if you think about it like that, it does not matter where you shoot. Going to a competition is just a chance to shoot all day in good company for around a fiver - best value known to man in my opinion! Don't get pressured into doing something that puts you too far outside your comfort zone. I am sure that in the fullness of time, when your confidence in your ability grows, you might give it a go, but there is no rush. Everyone gets nervous at a competition but some cope with it better than others - I still struggle to settle down for the first 2 dozen. Good luck!

| I go to competitions regularly but the only person I am competing against is me. Results list finds me tucked down near the bottom but I had a good day out so who cares. Do go to the events for the experience but the only way to shoot well is to relax so it must be on your terms.
