Hats

Todays seems to be the second day that I have fried my head. Anybody know any good online stores for buying hats?

Checked out all my local places ASDA, Tesco etc. Either all the wrong size (too small) or I would have to settle for something that would leave me closely resembling one of the "Flower Pot Men".

I'll keep looking on my travels and online but if any quick suggestions spring to mind I'd appreciate the help.

Cheers,

Worth a look here:

And I still recommend a Tilley if you don't want to fry your head.

What! In England?? Did the temp hit 70 degrees F?? Sorry - just kidding.

Would you like something really effective and really cool??

Try an Australian Frillneck Urban Turban (Unisex):

The website of the manufacturer is: http://www.frillneck.com.au/

They are a West Australian company. What makes it ultra cool is that the hat is worn by Australian SAS soldiers when in the field on operations!!!

Cost is approx $40AUD.

I bought mine from Decathalon this week.

http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/Produc...080/index.html#

It very light and comfortable and it does not interfere with my shooting

I agree with Dave! The tilley hat is an Awesome hat! Though I don't shoot in mine for the same rim problem mentioned in the thread you linked to. Never thought of velco. It could be a replacement for the hat I sued to shoot in - see below for the photo

http://www.archery-interchange.com/f...ead.php?t=2637

The edge didn't get in the way when I shot as I had it well back on my head - my Nan bought it for me in a sports shop. Loved it - the meshy stuff let the air flow! Base-ball cap may not be your style, though I'd look for a similar material in the hat you intend to buy!

Mine came from Next. £4.99 for a reversible (olive green/cam) bucket style hat. It keeps enough of the sun off, the brim doesnt touch the string of my bow, and it absorbs sweat like a good 'un. (maybe that last feature wont apply to our lady members!)

How about going to a sports shop & getting a cricket- style floppy hat?
