| You could try and find a cheap bic type pen with the correct size of push in insert, nice idea |

| Use a ball pen that has the refill that simply pushes into the end. Use that for your pen. Fit a plug into the end of your arrow part, with a hole drilled through the plug so the refill fits snugly. If the plug is made of wood or similar, the plug can be sharpened with a pencil sharpener to give the taper. Once it fits nicely, dry; glue it into place. |

| I find ACE's are a great fit for a "Bic" insert. The ACC may need a bit of packing. ![]() |

| i was thinking about cutting the splintered bit with a small pipe cutter, and then cutting an old gel pen up to allow the base of the pen to screw on.. that way i can refill the pen.

| You're unlikely to cut carbon cleanly with a pipe cutter -- the carbon has a tendency to break away from the aluminium. Use an arrow saw if you have access, or a Dremel with an abrasive cutting disc. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
