| Archery Web Site As an Archer (mainly field barebow but also occasional target, clout, GNAS,EFAA,NFAS) I am constantly frustrated by all the politics and bias involved in archey. I ahve to say that most of this is carried out by the few as I believe that the vast majority of us just want to enjoy our archery and are broad minded enough to have an occasional try at something different. I find it almost impossible to find out what open shoots are on, both Nationally and in my area. I have therefore decided to start my own website all at my own expense for archers in Essex and Suffolk which will, when people let me know, have a calendar of shoots from all disciplines and associations. it will also initially have links to clubs, associations and archery shops. It will start in a very small way and hopefully grow into a resource for all archers. Unfortunately there is a bit of a catch 22 situation on google whereby you can only get your site on google if people visit your site or link to you and you can only get people to do that if they can find you on google. Many thanks Neil Bonner (tikkabhoona) ![]() |

| Neil, If you haven't done so, stick a link in the links directory (above in the navbar). That gets spidered quite often so will help in getting into search engines. Dave

| Good luck with your quest. I run the Perris Archery site www.perrisarchery.co.uk where there is a tournament page, to get your shoot listed for free all you have to do is fill in a form on the site or send an entry form to the shop. I have no bias as to any society or archery discipline, the trouble is most clubs assume I know all the details and only occasionally do what's required then some comment later that their shoot was not listed.......... |

| If the site is useful for tournaments then word will quickly get around. Best know current one is Mayflowers at http://www.freewebs.com/mayflowerarc...nt%20Diary.htm The Sportsfocus one ( the umbrella under which GNAS operates) can also be useful but for some crazy reason the GNAS and Sportsfocus listings are independent. http://www.sportfocus.com/

Rob puts a lot of effort into his page and we regulary exchange information. I don't know off hand the number of hits Rob gets but it is very high. We get 3500+ hits a month to this page so it is frustrating that the clubs are not as proactive as the archers wanting to enter the tournaments. |

| Are you a member at Mayflower, Neil? I'm sure I've heard your name mentioned there? Rachel | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Not at the moment but expect to see me there in the winter for indoor. I do however know Steve Fenton quite well. Hope to see you in the winter. |

| Yes, it was Steve Fenton that mentioned you! I'm Rachel, hello! Are you a Panther then? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| You forgot the link to AIUK, Neil. Hope it takes off. Mick
