| i think it can be a good thing but i always feel guilty because lets face it - archery isnt the most thrilling thing to watch. as you say though - always good for a confidence booster

| Yeah, but isn't it so annoying when they hover over you and say 'change this' or 'you need to do that instead' You know? |

| they really shouldnt do that during a competition but i know what you mean. whats worse is when you have a bad shot and you get "the eyebrow", the look that says "well what on earth was that!!"

| Yes! Exactly! I know what you mean! Or when they go off in a huff cos you tell them to push off, and you don't see them for hours at a time. I gues it's harder for me, cos my dad is needed anywhere and everywere we go ![]() |

believe me i know what you mean - when i shot for wales as a jnr my dad was the team manager after the previous one resigned. talk about constent pressure..... but summin i'll tell you for free - when you need someone on your side or to back you up you aint gonna find anyone better than family. they may be a bug at time but they only want the best for you! its about finding a happy medium - talk to them about it and explain and im sure it'll be ok.

| Talking is always good - after all, the people that you refer to are experienced at what you are going through - you have to get the point across that you are 'offspring', but there are occasions when you are an archer first!
