| It's agood question. I wonder if it's more connected to fixing the arrow rest to the bow rather than fitting a button. Having the button just above the throat of the grip seems to me to be the best place as any torque will have less effect there.Perhaps it is a way for some to compensate for bow hand torque. If you torque the bow one way the button will move to one side and perhaps cancel out some of the errors. Bows only had one button hole when I was going through the "Equipment" stage in my fascination. I'd still like to know though! ![]() |

| The answer to this is to be found in one of the least comprehsible bits of The Heretic Archer (i.e. one of the bits with the least effective translation). However the gist of it is that the second (forward) hole is to be use with arrows that are too long or too stiff - it moves the pressure point forward (clearly). Not sure about how the physics of this work but Mr Frangilli says so, so it must be right!

| yeah, its yet another an option for tuning, there was a fad about the front node of your arrow should line up with the pressure button using clicker extensions and the like to achive it

| Does anyone ever...... comment that stocktaking time is a good time to "take stock" How do you know when you've found the "front node" of the arrow? Guess this means there must be a back one as well. Does it matter where that one is? I admit I've read about how you do this but it seems harder to find than......well...something very hard to find. ![]()
