Clout classifications?

Are there such a thing as clout classifications or handicaps...?
I can't see anything in the rules or admin procedures about it (though there are flight classifications - surely more people shoot clout than flight!).

I just shot my first scoring (GNAS) clout for ages and wondered how it compares to normal shooting...

There is an award system, its called the Tassel Award. Scores must be shot at a Tassel Status shoot. Claims are made to Andrew Neal

Its not really in the paper work as its run by and thru Nothern Counties. If you have a look on their website theres a section about it under awards.

Strangely enough I'd randomly shoved an entry form into the rules and when I thought "I've seen that somewhere" it fell open at the relevant bit....SAP 6-4

There is some impetus to getting a clout classification system defined, mainly coming from Pete Gregory in Cheshire. The problem is lack of data. It is easy enough to get tournament results together, but that gives a distorted view (think target, and using only tournaments to try to work out where 3rd class should fall). What is really needed is data on what archers shooting clouts at their club actually score. So if you want to help out, start collecting the data.
(And no, I have no idea how Flight worked it out!)
