1st Competition in three years

Well Ive just submitted an entry form for an Albion round taking place next Sunday, I have shot nine dozen arrows this morning and though the results were very pleasing , God it hurts now , Have only had seven evening sessions of practice since I got back into the sport, shooting a maximum of five dozen at each session so I expected a little bit of grief from the old bod. Anyway with a session on Wednseday and perhaps Friday night I should be well Knackered for the shoot.

Dont know if many of you are aware of this but a while ago Buzz was one of the very best Recurve archers, not only in my area but in the country. I came into the sport just as Buzz had left it due to injury, and it is was one of big regrets that I never got to see him shoot. I've got several trophys with his name plastered all over them and although I've managed to break one or two of his county records, some of the others are incredible and way beyond my standard.
I think I may be at the same shoot Buzz, I'll look forward to meeting you and paying my respects.

It's good to hear of experienced archers returning as there seems to be a fair amount leaving the sport
