In the Radio Times magazine, dated 2nd - 8th september 2006, on page 12, there is a picture of a Robin Hood archer. This is a historic legend, of course, and as such the programme coming to our televisions will be as close to it would have been like as possible. However!
In said picture on page 12, we see a set of longbow arrows with plastic nocks. Surely not?

Just seen reported on yahoo's site that thieves have stole master tapes of the new Robin Hood series and are demanding a ransom of £1 million.

If they're going to have plastic nocks on longbow arrows maybe we should club together to pay the thieves to burn them!!!

Must be easier ways to earn a crust!

I'm liking that plan. But who would actually pay £1 million to watch them?

Apparently the bows used are curly ones,but are we "boverred",no , we'll still watch it just to take the mock.

Radio 5 yesterday reported that the ransom demand was 8 million.

Maybe they've watched it since yesterday, and figured it's drastically gone down in value!!!

Maybe if we can identify the nocks, the manufacturer might be persuaded to put up the ransom money....NOT!

There's another item about the series as well. It talks a bit about the characters and the way they will be played.
Marian will be a "Fiesty Girl" and has been written as an "intelligent, witty, biting character". Sounds good, but I'm not sure about the biting . See this link for more information:

hmm those medieval archers where pretty well equiped weren`t they
