A strange one...

Here's a weird one, that I can't seem to put my finger on for a cause.

I shot a Long Warwick the other day, on my own, so I had no one to ask where they thought the problem might be, but:

80 yards - fine & dandy, no real issues, just need more practice.
60 yards - first three arrows went top right, into the black at about 1 o'clock (but a good group). Next 3 arrows I aimed low and left to compensate, and they went precisely where they were being aimed at, with nothing better than a blue. Next end, first two went high and right again - adjusted my sights up, and the rest all went low, below the gold, so I dont *think* it's a sight mark issue.

I then started over-compensating for the high / right thing, and the whole two dozen at 60 were cack. So it's left me wondering why I might be shooting high and right without any obvious reason?

I fitted a new string a couple of weeks ago, but this problem has only occurred within the last few days - would adding twists make a difference?

mmmm, I'd be tempted to put this under the category of "just one of those days". However, I had a similar thing happen, and it turned out to be the riser cracking!
Best thing to do is check the equipment over from top to bottom, shoot again and see what happens.

Cheers, Kae.

and check arrows thoroughly too for cracked nocks, splits in shaft and straightness, or could have been giving those first arrows a little more umph or dropping bow arm, archers tend to be stronger after the walk retrieving arrows.
