I'm not too fussed about the certificate, to be honest. I just think people should get recognition for their record(s).
What do you think is the best way for Regions/Counties/Clubs to recognise records

Can't see it ever becoming an issue...

I've always been satisfied with just the knowledge that I've been there, done that.

I have no clue, but since i believe i have beaten the county novice record for a FITA this weekend, i shall hopefully be finding out how our county rewards/records records. I have a feeling it's just that they get announced at the AGM......

It's a difiicult one - the record would only be on the web as long as it stood (obviously), once it has been beaten - who knows it was there (new archers for example). I'm going to argue with myself now as a new archer wouldn't see your certificate either

Who knows??!?

I think that current records should be on a website.
If you get your name there, that's good, if some one beats your record, then it's no longer yours, it's then there record.

I must say there are a lot of killjoy comments on this one, and playing down of what is a great acheivement. Should all acheivements just be brushed off?

Imagine you practice for years, and on the day perform brilliantly, and your reward - a line on a web-site, or a thankyou and a pat on the back. Can you just imagine if you win the World Championships and what happens - a shake of the hand and a "well done jolly good shooting, now lets all go home".

I would want something to inspire people around me, to show my grandchildren, display it in your club house for fellow club members to see, and say look you can do anything you can put your mind to.

Obviously if you are so great that records and wins just roll into each other then just keep the important ones.

I tell you what though, it would make tournament days a lot quicker. No medals to hand out or trophies - maybe this not making a big deal thing does have a plus side afterall.

I like the idea of website 'roll of honour' as it were, but... I like certificates too. I once shot a national record, and although it's been broken since, I have a nice certificate that says, to that date, I shot the best score ever! A website couldn't do that for me! (ok, so it's only for my ego... )
