| rose awards both me and mrs robbo shot our first rose awards a while back and have been eagerly checking the mail ever since but they still haven't arrived. How long does it normally take them to come through? Is it an end of year thing or are they posted out during the season aswell? not that i'm eager or anything...

| I just got a FITA 1100 star, from a competition on the 15th of July. Hopefully Rose awards would be as quick (or slow). I suspect it depends quite a bit on how quickly the competition organisers submit the claim forms. |

| Rose awards are processed as they go, timings do vary though, no doubt depending how busy GNAS are. I waited 6 months for my black FITA target badge, yet only just over a month for my 1100 FITA Star. congrats on your Roses, hope it's not too much longer. |

| Murder isn't it? I'm told they're done in batches. I shot my white and black within a week of eachother - the white arrived after a couple of weeks (I was told to expect six), the black closer to the estimate. I guess its just a question of how close to a batch send-out they are when your scores go in. Thing is once they arrive and the glow has died down what do you do with them? If shooting Fitas don't forget the English Crosses - I got one of those in five days! ![]()

| How long depends on how busy the GNAS office is. It can also depend how quickly the tournament organiser returns the paperwork to the GNAS office after the tournament. There is a time limit for this (30 days I think), so it shouldn't be a big factor. I've usually found it can be any thing from 1 to 3 months. I received my 1200 FITA star within 6 weeks this year, but know of others how have waited longer for awards this year. They are issued during the season, but obviously there will be busy periods during the season as the number of tournaments ramps up - so delays will be longer. I guess it's also possible that some delay may occur if GNAS office does not have the badges in stock - given that some will be in greater demand than others. If it does drag on beyond 3 months, it may be worthwhile ringing the GNAS office to check the claim was received and then following up with the organiser if necessary. Also, the claim form requires the archer's signature but is poorly designed, so this often missed - invalidating the claim. I know I've had to chase after archers to sign their claims before they leave the ground after a tournament.

| Just to let you know, the Rose awards for the Junior national Champs (1st/2nd July) were sent out last week, so i guess those from the 15th July are very soon! The office has to do them on the order of the tournaments so that they can make sure Roses are gained in the correct order. |

| Thanks MrM, that makes sense still watching the door mat (not sure which is more boring, watching that or watching paint dry ) ![]()
