However if you don't 'claim' the 3rd class you can just shoot another 2nd score and claim the 2nd classification.

Though this is what someone told me, so I don't know if it's correct.

This is also what i was told

tel has completed all 6 rounds of either the Archery Interchange VGP or Winter League
WL Ranking: Division 2, 1st Place
SL Ranking: Division 2, 1st Place

This must break the record for resurrecting an old thread
If you were told that then I suggest you stop listening to whoever it was that said it

That's my understanding too. You can't use the same score twice.

'Friad not. take FITA Star badges under your interpretation someone shooting 1145 could claim every badge from 950 upwards (if in Europe) or 1000 and 1100 in the UK. This is not the case. The 1145 gets you the 1100 Star. This, I think, also applies to the Roses.

Your actual classification is calculated at the end of the indoor (July to June)or outdoor (Jan to Dec) season your best three qualifying scores of that season are the ones that count.

I disagree. A classification continues throughout the season. and rolls over to the next season. It's your handicap that is recalculated from your 3 best scores at the end of each season

this is from the Gnas rule book
' Apart from when juniors become seniors or change age groups, The qualification , as a minimum, holds for the year following that in which it was gained. If it is not maintained during that year, reclassification will be made from the scores made during that year'
i hope that helps

You are not 'using' anything twice - they are not tokens they are levels of achievement. If you pass the level three times you are of that class, and by default any class below it.

Just out of interest, if you had a bowman classification, why would you really worry about getting 3rd, 2nd, 1st class badges? surely the fact you've got your bowman means that you are already capable of the other classifications so why would you want a badge?

Just curious as it looks like I'll be going from 2nd class last season to BM this and I'm not worried about missing the first class badge (and I haven't got a third class one either).
