Metal Detectors

At our committee meeting last night it was suggested (after stray piles had been discovered in a straw boss) that some form of metal detecting might be invested in. Is this a good idea? Has anyone had reportable experiences?

RE: Metal Detectors

The longbowmen at our club regularly have problems with their piles, and occasionally with the pointy ends of their arrows.

Quite a few of the guys have pipe and cable detectors, they work pretty well on target bosses.

B&Q, Focus, Homebase etc. all do them.

Mick

Maybe the problem with their piles is due to sitting around on damp ground waiting for recurvers to finish shooting?
