If you do that I'll eat my bow......

Whilst on the shooting line attempting to hit 100 yards for the first time with my long bow. A fellow archer rashly said, "If you hit that I will eat my bow".

So, any suggestions on the best way to eat a recuve bow and the best way to make it tasty? Humble pie is not an option as the archer concerned may be a bit full after eating (a) his words and (b) his bow.

Reminds me of the time my youngest when aged 8 wanted to have a go at the 100 yard target the adults were shooting.....He was told that if he managed to reach it let alone hit it, by the club captain, he'd give him a tenner. So up he steps, arm up 45 degree angle, loose, GOLD !!!!!

Wish I'd had a camera to get a picture of the jaw on the ground.

Anyway, recurve with onions and plenty of salt goes down well....

Reminds me of something that happened a few weeks ago:
My dad was shooting at 100yards and he put a target pin in the centre.
I bet him a fiver that he couldn't hit it.... he took photos as proof!
I'll keep my mouth shut next time!

Not saying it was a fluke though arcus maximus - I'm sure you're an excellant longbow archer!

Shooting 80 yds for the first time (i was 12 at the time) I was hitting no more than 4 arrows at one time. My dad bet me £10 that I couldnt hit with all 6arrows. Scored soemthing like 30 out of 54. Never did see that tenner.
