Name changes to archery rounds.

In keeping with the U.K. tradition of naming rounds of archery after English Towns, the Welsh Archery Federation have just announced that they too are going to name the traditional rounds after Welsh Towns.

The Portsmouth is to be renamed The Llansantffraed-cwmdeuddwi,
The Worcester is to be renamed The Swyddffynnon
The Bristol is to be renamed The Cefndeuddwr
The York is to be renamed The Llanfairpwllgwyn-gyllgogerych-wyrndrbwll-llantysilio-gogogoch

I think you'll find you've spelled the last one incorrectly.
Me, I'd like to see the Llareggub round used more often (Consists of sighters only, then we all adjourn to the inn to dream of babies with Gossamer Beynon)

hmmm. I don't know about Welsh rounds, but we shot a 'Bournemouth' round at the County of London one year... Some prat set the targets up at 20m instead of 20 yards...

So shall we call you Sinbad from now on then, Furface?

Surely there must be some good Northern rounds aren't there....lol

Shot my best FITA ever and then discovered I had put the target on the yards lines...... known as the "Noooooooooo" round.

But seriously there must be lots of local rounds shot, perhaps indoors due to lack of distance. We will need a name for our indoor round distance 13.4m at a 60cm target face (perhaps even 40cm target faces)...... Hmmmm maybe a Dean Round since we shoot it at the school.

Well, if you're looking for some Scottish-placenamed rounds, you could have one where you're aiming at one target and the wind blows it onto the adjoining one, and call it the 'Stornoway'!

If you are looking for rounds to name then look no further than all those strange metric rounds like FITA 1 and FITA II etc

Surly we can come up with something more memorable and confusing !

At our club, a double Fita star is known as a Death Star. We have badges.

And clearly too much time on our hands.
