Broken Arrows, Pain & Soggy

Because of the foul weather we decided to shoot at a Stuffed jiggy-bag type target and shot at it. Then we decided to shoot at a bottle of water on top of the bag, first arrow pushed it off. I shot and hit it on the floor, then Matt, one of our compounders shot it, and put his arrow through the bottle and my XX75! oh well, little bugger........
So, we use my broken arrow to pin the bottle on top of the target to shoot at it again. Then Matt puts an arrow through the top of the target, and somehow shoots through my arrow again breaking the pile clean off!

So now I have one short section of arrow with fletchings (ready to be made into a pen!), one long middle section, and a pile somewhere in the target, lol.

(I think he does it on purpose)

So, one broken arrow, very soggy from the rain, and to top it off i've got earache again!

grumble grumble moan moan, and now off to continue with my Gymnosperms essay, yawn.

I know the feeling, first time out with my lovely new longbow arrows, first end I've ever shot them, and I put in a 10,9,8 (I wouldn't be unhappy with that on my recurve)

And then our resident compounder steps up....

And shoots the back out of the beautiful 10, splitting it for about 6" down the shaft...

Went to dictionary to look it up, but found it a tad boring. But did find the word "gymnorhinal" meaning "with unfeathered nostrils" which, I guess, applies to each and every one of us. So, Kae, just be grateful you are gymnorhinal with all your sniffles

lol, cheers everyone.

Gymnosperms vs Angiosperms. Angiosperms have there seeds within an ovum, Gymnosperms don't.
ie, Ferns are gymnosperms, Daffodils are angiosperms.

Really exciting.....................................

lol, and the sperms going to the gym comment is exactly what I told the lecturer, boy, was I popular, lol.
