I bought my limbs from Ten Ring Archery in the States for a lot less than they sell for in the UK. There was a slight delay in getting them due to European distributors clearing out Hoyt's stock but when they did come into stock they were with me in two days - far faster service than I've had from any UK retailer.</p> The shipping wasn't too bad, I payed around £21.00 - but do be careful, anything you can save can be wiped out by some company's shipping price; always check first. When the limbs arrived I received a courier's bill for the VAT @ 17.5%.</p> I can't remember the exact prices but it was around:</p> Limbs: £215 Shipping £21.54 VAT: around £40.00</p> Total = £276.54</p> At the time I bought them the cheapest I could find them in this country was £350 so I made a saving of over £70.00 </p>The only draw back I can think of is if there's a problem - it'd cost a fair bit to return them!</p>

| RE: Shopping around (the globe) Guy found some G3 limbs in America for @£200 including shipping - but customs collared the parcel and charged almost £50!! Still a saving of £100 but no personal service or set up and as mentioned before - more awkward / expensive to return.

The customs charge would have been the VAT </p>I think I'd rather save the £100 and set them up myself than let my local archery shop get their hands on them... have you ever tried removing a limb from your throat </p>

| RE: Shopping around (the globe) This is one of the things I was curious about LMP - how many of the dealers are actually prepared to ship to the UK? Can you remember where it was Guy got the limbs from? Regards Tel | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| RE: Shopping around (the globe) I don't see why suppiers wouldn't supply to the UK... Here in South Africa the average mark-up is between 50-100% above the UK/US retail prices and the suppy is very limited! My bow is from retailers all over the world including UK, USA, Singapore and from Korea... The only problem is the "try before you buy" and Warrenty issues which I have had none of. | |||||||||||||

They tend to have all kinds of wierd and wonderful distribution contracts that won't allow a manufacturer to sell directly to a country in which they have a distributor.</p>
