I have more than enough trouble getting one arrow to be accurate

lol, The trick to that is to shoot flaming arrows, the mark your arrow will leave on the target will cross all the lines (including gold) which means you will get a perfect gold each time!!

I'll have to suggest that to GNAS.

each arrow would have 1/2 may be less of the available energy in the bow, therefore, speed etc is greatly decreased

e = 1/2 mv^2 so, if energy is halved (and assuming both arrows have the same mass), then speed decreases by a factor of root 2 (1.41....)

i'll go and hide by my books now...

A longbow archer at my club in WGC did it when the Costner film came out...

First attempt - couldn't hit a barn from the inside with the door shut. And we were inside the barn (well shooting range) at the time.

Second attempt - managed to hit the door (if the door had been the wall at the end of the range.

He gave up after that.

Did he rip the fletchings off with his teeth before shooting, that may be the cause of the problem

Try this ...... Byron Ferguson doing trick shots.... one of the shots is two arrows at once.

Safety - what safety

Just watched the video - I always thought that the rules about everyone standing astride the shooting line were over cautious!
