It's typical for 'unusual' sports like archery, scuba, surfing, etc (any sport away from the mainstream footie, tennis, squash, swimming, etc).

I remember many years ago our local council organised a "women into sport" day. Our local county secretary delayed sending on their email to the local Clubs as he was quite enraged at the idea. We had a slightly heated argument as I said it was valuable for my/our Club to have a stall and he was of the opinion that men needed just as much encouragement to get into a sport as women. I took his point but said that women were under represented and went along.

As it was it was so badly advertised that stall holders outnumbered the audience so I can't give you any useful feedback except that the women from the other sport clubs in the city found my equipment facinating - they all thought we were still shooting longbows.

I had some posters made of lady archers through the ages. I never did mange to refind a photo I'd earlier come across of (possibly) a young Pauline Edwards with a 60's haircut and white hot pants or mini skirt. It would have filled the gap between the longbow lady in the long dress and a "modern" archer quite nicely.

A relatively high portion of the chinese are from Hong Kong, but quite a few from other areas i believe.

Definately. From my experience, stuff usually bought in Asia tend to be much cheaper although a constant check will help. I think you've gotta watch out for some knock off goods in the end as they're usually the problem in some countries although not so in Singapore with all those strict laws against piracy(then again it isn't perfect and knock offs can be found).
