Green Trouser

I am looking for a pair of green trousers for my 11 year old son, so he can take part in his first tournament next month.

Here in deepest Cornwall it is not proving easy.# Can anyone recomend a shop/internet site I may be able to get some from?

RE: Green Trouser

see current 'club colours' thread.....I reckon ARCO are your best bet, sweatshirts, polos (long and short sleeved), and trousers all in the required green and available mail order.

On reflection I guess it depends on how big an 11 year old is.....

On the contrary, Alex. I've found that shooting in white outside during the summer months has kept me quite cool.

Ah... we're not talking that sort of cool are we....

Just tear one of the knees and stick a chain on them...

Sounds like it could be a good thread for the junior forum - how to make archery gear look cool (but still reside within the GNAS rules)....

He could always wear Jeans and change into white trousers before the competition, and then out again afterwards. Then he'd only be uncool for a few hours...

As a parent of a 13yr old, love the banging head off brick wall, feels like I do that all the time. I'll encourage Calum to post on Junior section.

Calum wears white rather than green, not having ever been able to get right shade. He wears tracksuit bottoms, either Nike or Reebok, as they have minimum other colours on them. The judges up here in sunny Scotland are quite relaxed about "joggers" for the juniors so there has never been any hassle. Most other Junior boys up here wear white rather than green, some wear their jeans and change, but usually they just turn up and shoot.

I'm sure whatever he ends up wearing, he'll forget it totally once he sees that other juniors are wearing the same stuff. Being "cool" up here seems to involve how many different club/award badges you can fit on your quiver, never mind the keyrings/softtoys medals etc!!

Good luck in his comp, hope he does well, keep us up to date.

Calum has his first comp of the season next week, better check his stuff still fits, how dare he keep growing and costing me more money!!
