| The most expensive bow in the world? What is it? As in Customized or stock. I think there was a yamaha made an the riser cost 1.5k ? |
| |||||
| They do, pretty much... grips will usually be customised to hell and gone, but that's fairly common. The Yamaha was something like the Centennial? Constellation? Something like that... Very expensive for the time. Most expensive riser on the market today is the Fiberbow, but then we haven't seen prices for the new W&W one that has lots of carbon in it. Oh, and I forgot that Hoyt and PSE will do you a "custom" bow to a degree when it comes to compounds - for example they didn't advertise it, but they would make you an Ultratec with LX Pro limbs (God knows how much it cost) and PSE used to have a chunk on their website where you could specify limbs, riser, cams and they'd build it for you.

| Yamamoto's Yamaha that he shot in Athens was apparently a customised job, and Flute had customised Yamaha kit too. Di Buo's Spigarelli riser is also customised But these are the exception rather than the rule. As for the most expensive recurve bows around at present, the Greenhorn Sirius and limbs and the new W&W are probably the dearest. |

| Nishizawa produced a bow in the mid to late 80's that Severn Products (blast from the past!) were selling for about £950. I knew someone who went and bought one and still had to pay £7 for a string for it!!! |

| hey wish i could have a nishy today wot you think big bloke |

| Archers do sometimes get one off parts. I dont know how much it cost but a certain bow company made 2 cams last december that were unique, both 29", one left handed and one right handed and I hate to think how much it cost to program up the cnc and make them but ill bet it cost more than a fiver, plus the next day shipping from the US, DHL. Still only got 400 quid for the bow though. ![]() |

| Alternative sporting services are quoting £444 and a few pence for the new win and win riser. Best wishes , Mark |

I knew someone who went and bought one and still had to pay £7 for a string for it!!! But if you waited long enough they reduced the 70"/40lbs one to £560...Him Indoors bought it, but it was a terrific investment because it still shoots faster than anything without wheels on the ends (getting arrows is a nightmare) and I still use it for reversals. Its in immaculate nick - not a scratch or any wear at all on the limbs, even string rub. So perhaps expense should be rated against longevity?
