| RE: Dress Codes http://www.gnas.org/target/aboutus.cfm - and you'll sleep like a baby! One thing that probably is of some use to relative newcomers like myself is the breakdown of all the rounds you may come across in competition, but that's another subject! Back on this one - it does make clear the provision for allowing club colours, so as long as your club registers its colours no problem. |

| RE: Dress Codes Thanks for sharing that, tel. I must have selectively ignored it when I've been to the GNAS site in the past ;) You're right about the rounds section, though. I'm also new to this, so#I'm always grateful to learn anything that will help me gain a better understanding of archery!
And I'm all for a bit of fashion on the shooting line ;) My uni colors were green and white, so any additional colors are welcome by me!!

Not to get off topic, but since you asked...
...it was just a simple spelling error, tel. I was a closet conrol freak, but now everyone knows!!#Oh no...this could spawn a whole new thread. Let's nip it in the bud while we still have the chance.
Back on topic...what does GNAS say about shooting in your (night)club gear?
(you made me do it again!!)

| RE: Dress Codes Just had a psychological thought. Uniforms of whatever kind are a means of grouping people. Do people in uniform tend to act more as a group and less as individuals? In the case of tournament archery, does having to appear in correct dress predispose us to accepting other rules. Look at it the other way round. How often are the archers who insist that their "camos" are green the ones who argue with judges about everything. I feel a doctoral thesis coming on! |
