| You are allowed to wear white jeans and green jeans at the moment. So "decorun, oldboy, decorum" I would respond in a similar tone "that comment is poppycock old chap". The material has never been specified by GNAS, so why not get some trendy skin tight white leather trousers, and top it off with some fashionable winkle pickers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Poppycock? POPPYCOCK? I Say! Actually during a recent hunt for 'white' trousers for my lad we spotted a pair of white jeans and thought "Bingo!". Then we saw the price... £60 (or half a set of ACCs, depending on one's currency). I guess the shop still has them. As for winkle pickers... Luverly!

| Please tell me that you didn't take the decorum comment seriously? ![]()

| Dress Code I'm sorry, but all these people who say that it puts off the juniors is talking nonsense! We have a very active Junior section at our club, and I spend most weekends of th summer trolling around the country with my daughter to various competitions. And i have to say that not ONCE have I heard ANY junior even talking about the dress regs - it only seems to be the older generation who do (I'm 46 in case i get labelled young!). The only comment I have heard is that white trousers can be seen as the preserve of a popular type of young person (yes you know who i mean) as opposed to being fuddy duddy! I think the club colours are excellent, especially with white trousers. Mind you, we were at the Hampshire open last weekend, and there was only one person wearing his club colours! I also don't think wearing black or grey would be a good idea at all - thats what kids wear to school each day and I'm sure they wouldn't want to wear them at weekends as well. And finally, just ask the youngsters who play cricket if they mind wearing white! |

| How many of us like to wear white trousers at any other time, other than at archery competitions? I would guess not very many. |
