I have just PM'd a reply to you and given a full explanation of the context and why I did not want to disclose it in an open forum.
To clarify: It has nothing to do with homosexual same sex civil partnerships which are dealt with on exactly the same basis as married couples by our club.
As I mentioned in my PM regarding your statement that "the use of the terms "politically correct" or "PC" is always a bad sign." my wife and myself both served in the army, I served for 16 years through the Falklands, first Gulf war and 2 years in Northern Ireland. I believe I have earned the right to make comment on political correctness. Yes I do believe the Country is much worse off because of PC views and supression of the rights of the majority to pander to minorities. I find most (but not all) those who object to non-PC views being expressed have done little or nothing to actually put their neck on the line, but are quite happy for others to fight for the freedom they enjoy.
I suppose this post will be cancelled too !
