Boss needed in Glasgow for saturday 27th jan

hi all.
bit of a plea here. i help run the Strathclyde uni archery club in glasgow. We are hosting a scottish universities leaugue match on Saturday the 27th of January and we are 2 bosses short!

so does anyone know where we could source one or two straw bosses from the glasgow area? unfortunately we dont have a vehicle to transport them either so it would be good if we could negotiate a hire and delivery fee.

(i wasnt aware that it was in our constitution that we have to provide space for 32 archers at a competition which is a bit of a squeeze on 4 bosses!)

If you haven't aleady tried, you could ask one of the visiting unis to bring them along (providing they're travelling in a minibus, and not a corsa!)

Elasto - The details are in the SAA website, Calendar, WoSAA Indoor Champs on 11 Feb (Rona is the organiser). Glyn Ball is the Glasgow Archers Equipment Officer and is based at the Vet College in Bearsden. Try give him a call.

If you are really stuck, I am coming down to Glasgow on Friday to get the BMW steering lock checked out by the dealer in Kyle Street, just up from the Uni. I have a straw boss and stand at home and I think I can persuade my Club in Oban to lend the other. I would need to know where to drop them off on Friday morning about 1030ish. I won't be back down in that area until the WoSAA Champs in Wishaw so unless someone else can return them I would need them to be delivered to Wishaw for me to collect. Perhaps some of you should enter and kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. I'm down for the afternoon and won't be going through Glasgow as I will be staying at my mother's in Girvan and reach Wishaw from the south.

You can phone me on 01631 562370 by tomorrow night (Thurs 25th about 7.00pm) so I can get the bosses on the roof rack as it is an early start on Friday morning. If I don't hear from you I will assume you have sorted something out.

thanks for advice and offers.

in the end we ran out of time so i capped the numbers a little bit. i have sussed out van hire so we can borrow from other places and i have also made a contact at a local club (who has a van) for borrowing in the future.
