| Would you expose a cheat or stay quiet ? If you knew a failing club was submitting false scores to a postal league what would you do? |
| |||||
| There was a time many years back when a Club was a the top of the compound league. The top guys had never met said archers and were mightily puzzled by the scores. Postal man checked that they were using the INNER 10 ring. Yes. They swaggered into the Champs, came last and were never heard of again ![]() |

| Personally I would report them straight away and let them sort it out, because archery in scotland is a small place and getting involved in arguments is one big headache. I would be particulary worried also if said club had a history of winning the league, how many people then have been cheated.

| Is this post a result of bitter experience or is it hypothetical? I'd like to think there is not too much cheating going on...am I being naive? ![]() | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Reading the wording of the Poll would indicate you have proof, and it's not hypothetical - so yes you must report them - its not fair on the otehrs in the league

| Your poll implies that you have proof of this crime. But I have to ask you do you think a forum like this should be your first port of call on such an issue ?, there may be other individuals in this forum that are in that club. Could this thread be in actual fact fueling a fire ?

The simple answer is yes; if you have proof, or even very strong suspicions, you should present them to to the organiser. False claims devalue their postal league and defraud every honest participant. But you have to ask - is knowledge that the claims are false known to all the archers taking part from that club, or is it a club official who is falsifying the claims? I ask because my club takes part in a postal league, and while I am aware of my own score on a particular day, I have no idea of the aggregate score submitted. I would imagine this to be the case in most instances. Also, it is one thing for one person to falsify a claim, or even for two people to conspire to do so. It would be quite another for an entire club membership to do so.
