The power of numbers

Those observant among you will have seen that i have not been active on the board for a few days, even when there are tasty threads to wade into. This is because I have been very aware that the magic 1000th post was next, and I wanted it to be special (Did the earth move for you?). Which is just the same as approaching "n" hundred for a York. However, I am aware that this is post 1001 (a very pretty number), and 1066 will come up shortly. Etc. I know I should be able to cope with "milestones" like this by ignoring them or not counting, but a) is this a part of my psychological make-up? and b) can i stop myself making these things up?
(I actually toyed with the idea of an entirely trivial 1000th post, consisting of 1000 : s. But i would have been drummed off the board)

1000 posts is just one more after 999! The ones to get excited about are the prime numbers!

And there I was thinking you were just too immersed in wading through the JAWs booklets - oh silly me!

Much like the symbolic candles i got on my birthday , you can have one to cover a thousand (and before you ask, no I'm not 1000 - just look it at times!)

Yes, I would like to also congratulate Nick on 1001 posts 99.9% (I think) of which have been very much on the topic of archery (just don't ask me to check that.....)
