| Any good books on recurve bow tuning. As a Saxophonist tuning the instrument is simple, get it to room temperature and move the mouth piece forward and backwards to get the right pitch. But tuning a bow is a major operation or at least it looks that way. The internet has over 30 bazillion helps and tips on doing this and there is a lot of discrepancy on what is being advised. Brace height (20 to 50 turns), Buttons, mag rests and clickers. Field dampening coils (that maybe Star Trek). Anyway can you please recommend a good book which is fairly accurate and with plenty of pictures. Please.

| You are right about there being too much information available on bow tuning. As Ceri says, try the Easton tuning guide. You probably know this already, but a good way to start is to get arrows that match your bow, as closely as possible. |

| Well this is another mine field. Aluminium, Carbon, Full metal jacket, Spine thingies, Grains, big flights, small flights, twisted ones. It just never ends. AAAAGHHH*&^**&^%

| The Archer's Reference: http://www.archersreference.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ includes the "Tuning for Tens" aproach to recurve tuning. This uses the "stiff plunger" method. The Easton tuning guide: http://www.eastonarchery.com/downloa...ning_guide.zip uses the more common approach of doing the basic setup and refining it. | Easton tunig guide is excellent, but I also use Matthews little book as it is more convenient to keep in my box. But beware the jabberwock my son! Remember that tuning is so that you can shoot straight - it is very easy to get into a situation where you spend all your archery time tuning and none of it shooting for scores - beware! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Heritic Archer - Vittorio & Michele Frangilli. Great book for recurve tuning advice. Covers basic tuning and goes also into detail about fine tuning for indoor, outdoor and field. |
