It's Official!

Just seen this in the GNAS Operations Minutes for Jan 07

Rule 307 (e) (iii)

'The shooting colours of the society shall consist of skirt, trousers or tailored shorts in plain dark green or white, as defined above. Registered upper garments shall consist of no more than four colours. Clubs may register an additional single colour for trouseres, skirts and/or tailored shorts to match or completiment colours of upper garments and so produce a club uniform. If lower garment colours are not registered then the society's colours for lower garments must be worn'

I must admit, I didn't know about this - how about denim blue!
Joking aside, it would be good to see an "uniform" on the shooting line. Many club colours don't go with green and a lot of people are reluctant to wear white outdoors (I always get my coffee on mine).
So is it a step in the right direction for the GNAS.
Best wishes, Steve

Sanity is gradually breaking out. GNAS strides manfully into the 20th century. How long before we get to the 21st?

Was there also anything about a sponsering business being able to register colours, as was mentioned previously?

Yep... "Several requests have also been received to allow colours for ‘sponsoring archery retailers’. This was discussed and there were no objections to these as long as they comply with Rule 307 and are registered as required in SAP 8."

"(e) (ii) Where ‘A club county or region…’ is mentioned this will be amended to
read ‘A club, county, region or sponsoring archery retailer…’ (2
