| If I recall correctly, for GNAS insurance to be valid, the 'range' would have to be inspected for safety by someone representing GNAS. However, if there's only one way in, and one way out, and you can seal yourself in whilst you're shooting (don't forget - colleagues can get curious about what you're doing in there - but the downside if you're on your own and sealed in is that if you damage yourself - for instance if the bow explosively delaminates - it'll make it harder for anyone to get to you to administer first aid!), there's unlikely to be anyone but yourself to cause injury to, and you might feel that the need for multi-million pound third-party insurance diminishes - but it's your call! Don't forget about a backstop net - you don't want your manager on your back about any small arrow-sized holes in anything other than the target butt!

| Thanks Tobes.... I am going to speak to our Safety bloke as well to see if there is anything that he can suggest. Shouldn't be shooting more than about 15m, so missing the tarket hopefully won't be an issue - If it is, 30-40 practice time isn't going to help much. If the bosses allow, I should be able to get some time on a daily basis to fling some arrow. Mainly to work on form etc, rather than scoring.

| Good luck with getting the shooting area sorted out. I work on a science park with lots of green fields and nice safe shooting spots but my H&S manager nearly keeled over when I asked about archery practise on site a few years ago.

Just spoken to our safety guy, who can't see any problem provided basic safety measures are met. Just need to ask the bosses now....
