Lightbulb Tents on the shooting line!
Ok the tournaments are booked, but the question of accomodation has come to mind and I have some questions about tents for you more experienced/seasoned archers. I will be attending some 2/3 day shoots that will require some staying over. But if Im to buy a largish tent for accommodation with a day access flap for shooting purposes shelter etc are they generally allowed to stay close to the line over a couple of days or is there generally an overnight stay "area". Btw the tent area is about 4m x 3m with 3 sleeping areas. So if all goes well i may have room for guests I do a mean barbecue!

I think you wll find the orgainisers raising a few eyebrows if you try to camp on the shooting / tent line, unless your tent is no bigger than a normal line tent.

It's an idea, but I don't think it'd work.

If camping is available, then those tents are expected to be well out the way.

Just going to have to invest in a pop-up!

I've been to shoots with 3 lines of tents and that's just normal sized ones, anything bigger is not on.

tiny! not recomended, as they leak in heavy rain. no inner / outer tent so they are soaking on the inside in the morning from condensation.

Agree'd!

Get yourself a popabivy type thing for the shooting line, and a real tent for sleeping in!

There is no way (unless there is a HUGE area behind the waiting line) that your going to be welcomed to the line with a tent like that.

I've seen 'giant brollies' that convert into a tent they look very usefull too.

I saw a couple trying to use one of these in the Lakes. It was fantastic until it blew away, lol. They gave up after the third time of having to run after and collect it, hehe.
