RE: First Competition Thanks for the info - I already had the YAA application and have just this minute downloaded the Bronte application. Now all I have to decide is if I can handle a DOUBLE or not !?!? I suppose I should do the double really# </p>Is a FITA easier, harder or just about the same as a York round? Would I be expecting too much to try and aim for a 1000 Star??</p> BTW, how well did you do Avalon?</p>

RE: First Competition Congrats on your 1st competition. Can I ask you what equipment you were using ie riser, limbs (lbs), arrows, etc.? The more details the better please. Also how long have you been shooting? I'd like to gauge how well (or not) I'm doing and whether I'd be capable of entering my 1st comp. Thanks

RE: First Competition Hi kinkychinky,</p> Thanks and yep no problems...</p> I've been shooting about 8 months#and my equipment list is as follows...</p> Win & Win Exfeel riser 25" </p> Petron Medium 40# limbs (twisted at the#limb tip#on the top limb, so the string does not follow the groove as it should -#cheap off ebay)</p> Angel Dyneema 18 strand string (homemade, probably could do with being 20 strand)</p> Cartel Championship Sight (very loose), with Beiter 8mm sight tunnel</p> Cartel long rod (28" ), Cartel short rods (10" ) -#all with dampers</p> Cartel 4" extender</p> Cartel V-bar</p> Spigarelli Zero Tolerance arrow rest</p> Cartel#click pressure button (hard spring)</p> and finally, Easton Redline carbon arrows with 100 gn points, using 1.5" Nap Quickspin vanes. </p> Not the best of setups, but it does for me, for now... Hope its of some use to you.</p>

RE: First Competition radsbow, Don't do yourself down! That's a great start, especially given the conditions!!! Personally, I find fitas easier than york/herefords. Obviously there's a time limit, and you have to shoot 6 at a time in the morning... but I find this means I get to sit down when the other detail are shooting, rather than waiting to go back on the line. Also, in the afternoon, shooting in ends of 3 means you get a bit more of a break. I had a good shoot at the weekend, thanks. It was my first 12 dozen competition in a long while, so though I was very tired towards the end, the relief at finishing the shoot was overwhelming. I won't be at the YAA fita, but I will be at Bronte, so I hope to see you there!
