I can't say too much... but a range of prototype Archery specific cold weather clothing (12 degrees and below) is being made as we speak.

We'll need some folks to try them out when they're ready. We're also prototyping an archery specific top. They should be ready for the summer.

...And what better proving ground than the Isle of Lewis in Summer (if you can call it that!)? Count me in to your testing team!

Well, since I started this thread the rest of you can form a queue behind me when it comes to testing!

Seriously though, thank you to all who have contributed meaningful asnwers (and I suppose also to those whose tongues were firmly in their cheek - after all, mine usually is)!

I do know about three-layer systems and all that good guff. I leant quite a bit about keeping comfortable in adverse conditions whilst in the Army, although my active service was a dirty little war in Oman where the problem was somewhat reversed. Since I sail a lot, I have experience from this environment also. The problem, as somebody has already pointed out, is that archery is much less active than most outdoor activities and the requirements are therefore different. I can make myself very warm on even the coldest day, but the problem comes when trying to perform. For example, dressed warmly I find it very difficult to get my bow arm back far enough to the required position. I'm looking forward to see what Yew Selfbow comes up with.

Go to it, Mr Selfbow! Or may I call you Yew? Ha ha

May I take it that these garments are all XXXL size ? Or are you just two very small people ?

It must lead to confusion when Womble is on first detail and you're on second!
