Lightbulb Classified V Auction

Hi can any one explain to me why Archers Mart (Buying and selling) archery equipment, was dropped in favour of this pathetic Auction site. If I want to go to Auction,I would go to E.Bay.Archers Mart was a more personal site. A.I. should look at Archery Talk clasified, and get rid of this auction site they have dreamed up. Perhaps a poll might tell them something.

Everything has to start somewhere.

If you don't like it then you are right - there's always eBay (or another site's classified section). I've only listed one item on Archery Auction and it sold within days for more than I expected to get on eBay. Oh and the fees are almost non-existent on Archery Auction too.

If I remeber rightly it was a poll system that approved the site congratulating it in the past.

Going to be really boring here and echo everyone else.

What's your problem? If you don't like it don't use it, but no need to be so insulting.

I have nothing against archery Auction it is a really good idea.

But i really do wish that they would reopen the archers mart. As i have not yet managed to sell anything on the Archery Auction and i have put on quite a few really great items, and i used to sell loads of stuff on the archers mart.

I hope it pick up soon.

Jon

Does the auction site not have a 'buy it now' option, like Ebay? That is pretty much a classified ad.

Although I wouldn't have used quite the same terminology as syrus1, I do have to admit to agreeing with him somewhat.

Archery Auction is ok in theory but an auction is only as good as the quantity of bidders. An auction room with only a handful of bidders is neither use nor ornament.

I'd like to see the AIUK membership:Archery Auction membership ratio. I'd imagine that not even those that check out THIS site daily, don't even bother to check out the Auction site.

I used to look in the classifieds on a regular basis but I'll admit to not visiting the auction site very often.

Although listings are free, by paying that little bit extra on ebay you open your items to a significantly wider audience.

I also preferred the old Archer's Mart system too.
