DVD Recommendation

Was wondering if anyone has some recommendations for a good archery DVD ? I'm not looking for a training or skills DVD - just one of modern recurve archery in action. Has anyone seen the DVD on the last Olympic Games - any good?

Thanks

The Athens DVD is very good, cheap, and very revealing - the top archers deviate quite a bit from the textbook.

I'd also recommend "Archery: Refining Your Form" from Quintessential Productions, presented by the somewhat odd-looking Ruth Rowe. It's instructional, which isn't what you're after, but it's well worth watching.

I'll second that.

I've watched mine loads of times but wouldn't use it as an instructional aid.

If you like the Olymipics DVD let me know....I got a copy of the BBC footage of the event. I personally find it better than the official DVD, mainly because you tend to see more of the matches. The official DVD tend to only shot the last 6 arrows of each match.

If you would be interested, I can burn you a copy. PM me with your address.

Please note that this is not copyrighted material - it was taped from the TV and transfered onto DVD and as far as I'm aware not available as a commercial feature.

I would however, still strongly recommend getting the Olympics DVD. The coverage that I have is only of the womens individual & the mens team events. The official disc covers the whole lot & gives more footage from the high speed & target pinhole cameras - which is pretty cool!!!

Technically it is still copyrighted if you have taped it from TV even if it is not available elsewhere. Fair use allows you to copy from the TV for personal (time-shifting) use. Offering copies to third parties is piracy. Please do not offer illegal copies on the forum.
