Things that cheer you up

So on the converse of the previous thread let's look to the positive!

What makes you happy (archerywise!)??

Opening a bag of vanes and finding they've put in one extra!

It's the little things...

I used to live in the Chilterns where the red kites were first re-introduced.

We'd feed them from the garden - place scraps of meat on top of the bird house and watch them drop down from over the house, pick up the meat and rise vertically to miss the trees at the end of the garden. All this in about 10 yards. Very impressive.

Even more impressive is the size of the birds. They are huge. Especially when they're only about 6 feet above your head!

I agree, my mum keeps threatening to put food out for them as they always appear in the afternoon.

Get her to do it. It's amazing to watch.

I just wish I had my digital SLR camera at the time.

It's always the reverse for me, but this is a positive thread, so I won't dwell on it.

As has already been said - AIUK, definitely!!!
All the good friends I've made through AIUK and archery.
Shooting better than I think I will.
How well received my hugs are at the club.
Getting a hug from a judge when you're having a bad day at a comp.

Lots more but that will do for now.
