First time outdoors

Hi
I've just got back from my first time shooting outdoors. Brilliant i have to say.
No not me, the experience of being outside.

I started off in archery indoors late last year so i was a little nervous as whatever set up i had was going to be untried outside.

I was shooting at 40yrds and i missed with the first arrow

Anyway lots of fiddling about and i was hitting target . Best end, i had a tight group of 3 in the gold , could'nt believe it , best yet.Now i have just got to work out how to do that every time lol.

But it was the environment that made the evening for me. I live in the sticks so nice views. Warm evening, in a field surrounded by oak trees, everyone having a laugh.Great stuff. All that was missing was the BBQ.

I guess wet and windy ain't so great but hey, i'm hooked and i'm having a great time with new friends.

The best description of shooting indoors that I have heard is that has an atmosphere that is so 'sterile'

Quality of light is different too oudoors and there's such a feeling of space.... I find it almost claustrophobic shooting indoors.

We start outdoors on the May 4th. Apart from shooting at about 15yds at home this will be a step not only into the great outdoors but also the unknown

Same request...any useful advice?
