| I was fortunate once to be at a string making session where a new jig was being danced around a bow. The bow in question had just been strung with a newly made string and the centre serving was just finished. (easier to do centre servings under the tenson of the bow) The archer concerned had just pulled in the loose end of the centre serving and was cutting off the tail. Knife went the wrong way and limbs went where they felt most appropriate. Archer/string maker went all round the room.I think the word bother was mentioned a couple of times but in the merry making it could have been something else... mother perhaps. |

| String Jig: what happens when you lend your bow to an interested part and they dry fire it, snapping the string in the process; whilst there are juniors present. ![]()
